The Bench today announced a new tree planting initiative to plant one tree for each instruction it receives, with an initial commitment of 1,000 trees. This project aligns with both The Bench's strategic goal to minimise its impact on the environment and the global Trillion Tree Campaign inspired by Wangari Maathai, founder of the Green Belt Movement.
"It's the little things citizens do. That's what will make the difference. My little thing is planting trees." – Wangari Maathai
The Bench's other ongoing sustainability projects include virtual working practices to reduce energy consumption, recycling and a plastic-free working environment. The Bench also actively participates in pro-bono projects, mentoring projects and donates to local charities to give back to the communities in which it operates.
